Maliha Bhatti
FOUNDER AND PRINCIPAL
Maliha (Muh-lee-huh) started drawing house plans at the age of 6. Growing up with a father in engineering/construction, she followed him on job sites and played around with CAD software. She drafted the house plan for the home her parents still live in, at the age of 14.

In high school, she found her interest in the sciences pulling her in a different direction as she decided to pursue a career in medicine and attended the accelerated 6 year medical school at UMKC. She is a board certified Internal Medicine Physician.

After some years of practicing medicine and creating spaces on her off time, she found herself leaning further into original inspiration, design.
​
Maliha continues to dedicate more of her time to fully step into her design studio.
DESIGN THAT ENDURES
Studio Maliha is a Kansas City–based interior design studio rooted in the belief that good design is intentional and thoughtful. We take the use of resources seriously, and want to create lasting design.​ The studio is a namesake—Maliha is an Arabic word that means graceful, beautiful, or pleasant to look at.

We specialize in residential interiors, boutique commercial spaces, and clinical spaces. We challenge the idea that clinical or commercial spaces must be cold or utilitarian. With the right approach, they can be deeply functional and beautiful. While we're proudly based in Kansas City, we're available for select projects beyond our region—and always excited to collaborate with clients who share a love for intentional design.
